Energy production is developed through 03 generating units with a total installed power of 456 MW. Two are located inside the Power House and one at the dam-toe foot in the Small Hydroelectric Plant (PCH).
Since our entry into commercial operation, with the start-up of the PCH; until February 2024, the production of the Chaglla Hydroelectric Plant produces 15,338,705 MWh.
The operation is carried out with state-of-the-art equipment and digital technology, which allows the operation of the generating units, substations, and transmission lines to be centralized in the Control Center. This makes the Chaglla Hydroelectric Plant one of the plants with the highest availability and reliability indicators, whose operating strategy highlights the highest standards of quality and care for the environment.
The management and maintenance strategy implemented for the conservation of assets with high-reliability standards reflects the best practices in the industry. We consolidate the processes in a combined and integrated structure: preventive, predictive, analysis by condition, and corrective. Likewise, we are convinced that through continuous improvement we will guarantee high availability indicators.
